We hope your daughters had a great first day of lacrosse yesterday! We are so pleased with the turn-out and extremely excited for this upcoming season! A couple of quick reminders as the season begins.
It is very important that your daughter comes to practices and play days with the proper equipment. Goggles and mouth guards are imperative so we can prevent any injuries and we keep your daughters safe. It is also important that your daughters have a girls lacrosse stick, not only for skill development but as the play days approach their stick will be legal for game play. If you have any questions regarding sticks, please feel free to ask us at practice. Any of this equipment can be purchased at MVP Sports or Olympia.
The weather looks like it is going to be very unpredictable this spring. Please make sure that your daughter is dressed appropriately for the weather!
We will plan to practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm (starting next week, grades 7/8 will go from 6-7:30), even in the rain as long as it is not thundering or lightening. Should the turf be in use when you arrive due to the high school game schedule, we will practice on the grass fields behind the turf (by the Middle School). Please make sure your daughters are prepared for turf or grass but we will try to let them know the practice before of where the next one will be.
For any U15 player (7th/8th grade) if you have not paid the $20 fee please do so by the next practice. Also, even if you have paid, if you have not gone online and registered your 7th/8th grade daughter please do so. There registration will then be documented and personal/emergency information will be filled out!
All updated information regarding practice times and playdays/games is on the website www.potsdamlax.com
. All updates regarding practice cancellations will be posted as soon as the decision is made. It will be on the home page of the website. Information pertaining to just the girls can also be found under the "Girls Lacrosse Corner" tab.
Thank you again for your continued support!
